(2020) "I have known Dona as an undergraduate and post graduate student and more recently as a colleague. As her tutor, course coordinator, choreographer and colleague I have and am continually impressed with her hard work, commitment, professionalism and attitude.
Dona began her studies with us at the University of Bedfordshire in 2014, studying BA Hons Dance and Professional Practice. She continued her studies with us for a further year on the MA Dance Performance and Choreography. Both as an undergraduate and postgraduate student Dona was excellent. Over the course of her studies Dona became an accomplished dancer, she is a talented performer and an excellent choreographer. In particular her fusion of different techniques, her innovative exploration of contact work and her musicality were consistent highlights of her practice. She also excelled in teaching units where her natural teaching ability was evident.
Whilst a student Dona participated in numerous extra curricular activities performing, teaching and representing the university. A project at a local school for children with disabilities allowed Dona to explore working with young people with a range of physical and learning disabilities. She was approachable, professional and flexible, nurturing and encouraging participants whilst also challenging them and understanding their potential. These experiences have enabled Dona to become a teacher of great range, who can differentiate, challenge and inspire young people with a range of experiences and abilities.
Since graduation Dona has been employed by the university on numerous occasions. Regularly as part of outreach work and recruitment and she regularly collaborates and performs with current Masters students, where her technical competence and high levels of performance are evident.
Dona has also been employed as Assistant Dance Artist on the Generations Dancing Project and current legacy project. As part of this project Dona assists lead artists, co teaches sessions and choreographs. She has also been responsible for instigating new professional relationships and subsequent mini and extension projects.
Dona is reliable, punctual, professional, talented and an excellent teacher and role model to young people.
I have no hesitation in recommending Dona to you and believe she will be a valuable asset".

The duet was fluidly structured with exceptionally clear nuanced relationship developed between the two dancers. Each movement and moment of dance was infused with intense feeling , purpose and meaning. The relationship to the music also served to create the expansive emotional tension in the work.
